HI, Iā€™M KIRSTY

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR

As a Pilates instructor with over 10 years of teaching experience and a background in dance, I am passionate about helping my clients achieve balance, strength, and flexibility and firmly believe that movement is the key to a happy, healthy life.

After obtaining my Diploma in Dance, I came to the realisation that the highly competitive world of dance did not bring me happiness. Instead, I found myself drawn to Pilates, a practice I had initially taken up to complement my dance training but quickly fell in love with. Through Pilates, I not only enhanced my physical abilities but also discovered a newfound sense of balance and wellbeing. What began as a personal journey for strength and flexibility soon evolved into a deep desire to share the transformative benefits of Pilates with others.

Completed a Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre from SLP College, exposing me to the transformative power of movement and establishing the foundation for my holistic approach to movement-based practices.

2008

Began my Pilates journey with Balanced Body Mat Pilates training laying the groundwork for my career as an instructor.

2012

Trained in The Center Method for Diastasis Recti Recovery, gaining invaluable insights into the challenges of postpartum recovery and enabling me to provide targeted assistance, guiding clients through their postpartum journey with precision and compassion.

2017

Trained as a pre-and postnatal Pilates Doula at Livelife Pilates Academy, deepening my expertise in guiding women through pregnancy and postpartum and enabling me to design tailored programs addressing their physical and emotional needs, empowering them during this pivotal phase of life.

2018

Underwent intensive teacher training at Body Arts & Science International (BASI), significantly enhancing my skill set and advancing my practice to teach dynamic Pilates sessions across mat and apparatus.

2018

Drawing from my background in dance, I bring a unique perspective to my Pilates practice as I understand the intricacies of the body and how movement can be both therapeutic and transformative. My goal as an instructor is to help clients achieve their fitness goals and empower them to live healthier, more connected lives.

At the heart of my teaching practice is a deep commitment to my clients, taking the time to get to know them as individuals and listening to their unique goals and concerns. From there, I tailor custom workouts designed to challenge and inspire, ensuring that every session is uniquely beneficial to them, bringing them back into balance with the full potential of their bodies.

Whether you are recovering from an injury, seeking to improve your athletic performance, navigating the changes of pregnancy, or simply looking to enhance your overall wellbeing, I am here to support you on your journey.

My Pilates journey began in 2012 when I completed Balanced Body Mat Pilates training which laid the groundwork for my career as an instructor. Building on this foundation, I underwent intensive teacher training in 2017 at Body Arts & Science International (BASI), significantly enhancing my skill set and advancing my practice to teach dynamic Pilates sessions across mat and apparatus. This immersive program became the cornerstone of my teaching approach, enabling me to tailor sessions to meet diverse needs, ensuring each individual achieves their unique fitness goals.

Driven by my commitment to comprehensive support, I trained as a pre-and postnatal Pilates Doula at Livelife Pilates Academy. This certification deepened my expertise in guiding women through pregnancy and postpartum, equipping me to design tailored programs that address their physical and emotional needs, empowering them during this transformative phase.

Expanding my expertise, I immersed myself in The Center Method for Diastasis Recti Recovery, gaining invaluable insights into the challenges of postpartum recovery. With this knowledge at hand, I am able to provide targeted assistance, guiding clients through their postpartum journey with precision and compassion.

Complementing my Pilates expertise, I hold a Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre from SLP College. This diverse background enriches my practice, enhancing the holistic approach I offer.
